Landscape and Settlement Planning Team

The Landscape and Settlement Planning Team under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Ing. arch. Veronika Šindlerová, Ph.D. specializes in spatial planning and spatial studies focused on water management in the landscape. The main element of their project proposal is a comprehensive spatial study for the entire Ústí Region with the conceptualization of landscape changes leading to the adaptation of the Ústí Region to climate change. Part of their innovative approach is modeling landscape changes, which helps identify optimal spatial solutions for the implementation of adaptation measures and provides a basis for long-term regional development planning. Within the project, they primarily cooperate with the Environmental Modeling Team, with whom they discuss the structure of the most suitable landscape measures. The team's supra-regional perspective simplifies strategic decision-making for the region and its representatives regarding the development of the landscape and municipalities of the Ústí Region.
