The team of Lukáš Jačka from the Department of Water Management and Environmental Modeling installed numerous TOMST hydropedological sensors at selected locations of the Vršany dump on November 28, 2024. The devices, which need to be protected from potential destruction by wild animals with iron cages, ensure the collection of data on soil moisture and ambient temperature. At the same time, scientists took soil samples from the installation sites for further analysis in the FŽP laboratories. The installation of autonomous sensors took place within the project RUR – Region to the University, University to the Region.
